Photography began at the ripe age of fifteen for me. I was handed my first camera- an old beat up 35mm Ricoh fully equiped with a flash and three lenses. I took it everywhere. But it wasn’t until I moved to London for a year, dragging my Ricoh by it’s last legs, that I realized I might one day make a career out of this. That year, as I traveled throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa I began to realize the power behind this art- to evocatively capture color, texture, and light; to bridge the five senses within the click of an eye. It’s powerful. Today I apply those same skills to my own photography business. The ride has been wild, with a few curve balls thrown my way but I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve always been a journalist at heart and always strive to be a better photographer. Whenever I’m not shooting, I’m living. I blog accordingly…
“While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us
nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another
in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.” -Dorothea Lange
