Saxon and Lyra are two of my favorite clients. They have been working with me for approximately four years now. Saxon was actually one of my very first clients and I’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow into the fun-loving and adventurous spirit that he is today. Lyra was the newest addition to the family and she fit right in with her big bro. They’re like two peas in an intrepid pod. They aren’t afraid to speak their mind, let their imaginations go wild and throw caution to the wind. They get along like gang busters and I always love running around with them. For the following sessions, we decided to keep them close to home. The family would soon be moving to a new neighborhood so we wanted to bring focus to some of their regular routines and everyday rituals within their current home. Because they all live close to the gorgeous coast of Redondo, we were able to end our shoot there. It was a dance party, on the beach, with mom and it was a beautiful way to go out.  All in all, a good couple of shoots with these two and I guarantee there will be much more to come from this dynamic duo in the future. In the meantime here’s a bite-size morsel…

I am proud to introduce two new faces to the {jcp} blog… Brian and Malory.  These two make quite the team.  Brian is the eldest, runs at a higher speed and has an abundance of energy.  Malory… well, she just turned one.  So she’s still finding her legs and her voice but she’s extremely curious and takes great pride in watching her brother.  As I said, this was their first shoot with me and we decided to place it atop the grassy lawns of the Malaga Cove Library in Redondo Beach.  Due to the open terrain, the kids were able to run, jump, and play at their own pace, forgetting all about the photographer.  The park also made for a vibrant and lush backdrop.

It took a few minutes for Malory to warm up to the idea of having a camera follow her around.  You could tell by her initial expressions that she wasn’t completely sold on the idea…

but like I said, she’s curious by nature and in no time, she embraced having another friend to run around with.  She was all smiles from that point on.

This is brother Brian.  Outgoing, fun, full of laughs and protective of his little sister- all the things you hope for in a big bro.

One of my very best girlfriend’s just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and so I felt the need to announce it on the blog and well, just gush.  You see, I’m not only a close friend but also their personal photographer and it’s been so awesome to watch them grow.  This lil man was only a few days old when I decided to come over to their Redondo Beach home and pay a visit.  Of course, I couldn’t resist bringing the camera and taking a few shots of the two of them.  Just a few.  So, weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring in at 20 inches long, I give you the oh-so-cute newborn baby Thomas….
