Once upon a time…
in the heart of Hollywood, there lived two individuals- Gwen and Kurt. Rich in humor and hilarious in spirit, there is no doubt that these two were made for each other.
Their story is classic Hollywood. They met within a Talent agency. He was an assistant while Gwen was an agent at the time. They dated for 2 years when Kurt decided he wanted to propose. The proposal was set to the tune of Amir’s Garden in Griffith Park, to a majestic 360° view of Los Angeles, surrounded by rolling hills and lush trees, the hollywood sign quietly hanging in the balance. The scene also came complete with a deer gracefully grazing in a meadow nearby. Sounds to good to be true right? It gets better. Kurt had already been on the hike once that morning, in order to prep the scene for the big question. Bright and colorful petals were meticulously laid out at the end of the trail, accompanied by various varietals awaiting her atop the parks benches. He had two rings ready, one for each hand (the other might get jealous), sparkling apple cider and a finger monkey who would help in the proposal!! In Gwen’s own words- “He was so incredibly romantic and sweet, what was a girl to do?!” She quickly said yes.
Their day was exquisite, draped in ivory and rose. The location was the Paramour Mansion in Los Feliz. Built in the 1920s, the mansion successfully blanketed their guests with a antiqued vintage backdrop. The Bridesmaids wore light rose and the boys were draped in classic white tuxes. The flower arrangements were delicately gathered by Emily Jung and covered every square inch of the ceremony and reception. The scene was mesmerizing and nothing short of what they had both been dreaming of their entire lives.
The best part about these two? They laugh. Hard and long. And they make it their personal goal to “one-up” each other at all times which, usually ends up with everyone around them being infected with laughter as well. (Below is the famous finger monkey, mentioned earlier, that was used for the proposal. He made a special appearance on the big day as well). When asked what was the most important thing to be captured on their day, Gwen responded…..”Kurt’s mustache.” My team had a blast with these two.
Congratulations again, to Gwen and Kurt!
